sosocamo

sosocamo comes from the deep backwoods of North Carolina, with one foot in gospel and the church choir and the other in Southern rap learned at home. Initially sung on his first demos, his work evolved into melodic rap where Southern trap, a pop sensibility and online underground codes intersect. Influenced by Future, Young Thug and Kendrick Lamar while embracing clear, singable hooks, he uses understated Auto-Tune and writes lyrics shaped by rural isolation.

He laid the groundwork with the EP Screens in 2023 and No Service in 2024, largely conceived in the family home's basement after an initial distribution deal with Broke Records. On stage he alternates sung passages with drier flows, supported by his executive producer Grayto and productions from Synthetic, Taz Taylor and Rio Leyva. Announced for 2026, Big Country marks a more energetic and versatile direction that he will showcase live alongside already-known tracks. sosocamo performs at Oslo Hackney, London, on May 15, 2026.
