Info

On 13 November 2026, Temples bring their psych-pop craft to The White Hotel in Salford. Formed in 2012 in Kettering by James Bagshaw and Tom Walmsley, later joined by Adam Smith and Sam Toms, the band shapes tightly built songs where melody and texture meet: layered guitars, close harmonies and prominent keyboards that nudge their sound beyond classic psych rock. Across Sun Structures (2014), Volcano (2017), Hot Motion (2019) and Exotico (2023), they’ve moved from 60s-tinged psychedelia toward a broader palette, folding in baroque-pop shades, motorik pulses and denser arrangements.

On stage, that evolution plays out in contrasts: chiming hooks against fuzzed edges, propulsive grooves opening into dreamier passages, compact psych sketches stretching into wider arcs. Early singles sit next to Exotico-era tracks, reworked with a leaner punch, tracing a clear line through more than a decade of songwriting. This date at The White Hotel is a focused run through the catalogue, with the band pushing studio detail toward a more immediate, physical sound.
