Jungle

Jungle bring their London-bred modern soul to Co-op Live in Manchester on 27 November 2026. Built around childhood friends Josh Lloyd-Watson and Tom McFarland, the project grew from a studio partnership into a full live collective, where supple basslines, crisp rhythms and clipped funk guitars carry falsetto-led melodies. From the self-titled debut to For Ever, Loving in Stereo and Volcano, the duo have steered their writing toward leaner, more melodic forms without losing the circular grooves, stacked vocals and tight choral hooks that define their sound.

On stage, Jungle lean into that blend of vintage colours and present-day production, stretching funk and disco templates with light psychedelia and electronic textures. Arrangements move as a unit: percussion locks with bass, keys and samples weave in and out, voices layer and hover just above the beat. Their visual universe often echoes the choreographic pulse of their videos, but the focus stays on the groove and the interplay of the live ensemble. Rooted in contemporary soul, British funk and dance-pop, Jungle shape songs for movement and arrange them for a wide, responsive band, built for the energy of the room.
