Info
Interpol and Bloc Party share the bill for a co-headline date at Aviva Studios, Manchester, on 24 November 2026. Two bands with distinct takes on guitar music meet on the same stage for a night that shifts from dark textures to brisk, melodic drive.
Interpol emerged from late-90s New York with a sound rooted in the post-punk revival. Paul Banks, Daniel Kessler and Sam Fogarino sculpt taut rhythms, serrated guitars and a cool, nocturnal mood that runs through Turn On the Bright Lights, Antics, El Pintor and The Other Side of Make-Believe. On stage, their precision and restraint give weight to each motif, moving between clipped urgency and lingering melancholy without losing focus.
Formed in 2003 by Kele Okereke and Russell Lissack alongside Gordon Moakes and Matt Tong, Bloc Party built a language of tight drums, angular riffs and vocal hooks that hit early with the first EPs, then Silent Alarm and A Weekend in the City, before returning with Four. Their live approach leans on sharp dynamics and dance-tinged momentum, folding newer material with the songs that anchored their rise.
