Info
Ray LaMontagne brings the Trouble 20th Anniversary Tour to Nottingham, marking twenty years since his debut album revealed that grainy voice and intimate folk rock songs. On 25 May 2026 at Theatre Royal & Royal Concert Hall, he revisits the material that set his path while opening a window onto the records that followed. From the roots-infused God Willin’ & the Creek Don’t Rise to the sixties-tinged Supernova, the atmospheric sweep of Ouroboros, and the stripped-back clarity of Monovision, his songwriting moves between Americana, folk rock and a touch of soul without excess.
On stage, LaMontagne keeps the focus on phrasing, melody and space. The acoustic guitar anchors the set, the arrangements breathe, and the voice carries stories of relationships, doubt and interior landscapes. The night circles back to Trouble, the album that first framed his slow-burning ballads and rugged timbre, giving those songs a fresh edge two decades on. A concise journey through his catalogue, built around the record that started it all, in the warm acoustics of Theatre Royal & Royal Concert Hall, Nottingham.
