Wet Wet Wet return to Cardiff to mark 40 years of their debut, Popped In Souled Out. On 14 February 2027 at New Theatre, Cardiff, they revisit the record that set their course with soul-leaning pop, rich arrangements and clean, melodic hooks. Expect a set anchored in the 1987 album, with room for other favourites from across their catalogue. Formed in Clydebank in the early 80s, the band today features Kevin Simm on vocals alongside original members Tommy Cunningham (drums), Graeme Clark (bass) and Neil Mitchell (keys), with long-time collaborator Graeme Duffin on guitar. Their palette moves between tender ballads and groove-led pop, carried by tight playing and a feel for melody.
Opening the night, The South handle support. They set the tone with a crisp slice of British pop, a warm-up that paves the way before Wet Wet Wet dive back into Popped In Souled Out.
