Info
Bad Manners roll into Southampton with The Beat Dance Crazed Too UK Tour, bringing the spark of Britain’s late-70s ska revival back on stage. Formed in north London in 1976 around the unmistakable Buster Bloodvessel, the band built its sound on quickstep rhythms, brass and keys up front, and a playful streak that blends Jamaican ska, two-tone edges and pop bounce. Early 80s singles like Lip Up Fatty and Special Brew, plus their turn in the 1981 film Dance Craze, fixed them as a staple of the scene, alongside albums from Ska ’n’ B to Forging Ahead.
Still led by Buster after a few line-up changes over the years, Bad Manners keep the set tight and danceable: big hooks, shout-along refrains, and rhythms that don’t sit still. It’s a straight-ahead live hit of ska energy that taps their catalogue without fuss, built for moving rather than reminiscing. Date: 3 October 2026. Venue: O2 Guildhall, Southampton.
