Taking Back Sunday

Taking Back Sunday bring their Long Island-bred blend of emo, pop-punk and alternative rock to Limelight, Belfast on 21 May 2026. Formed in 1999, the band made its mark with tense guitars, call-and-response vocals and melodic hooks, first heard on Tell All Your Friends and expanded on Where You Want to Be and Louder Now. With Adam Lazzara up front and the core of John Nolan and Shaun Cooper back since 2010, the group writes with a balance of bite and clarity, shifting from serrated riffs to open, singable lines without losing urgency.

On stage, that interplay is the focus: entwined guitars, elastic vocals, and dynamic builds that move from tight verses to cathartic releases. The set draws across their catalogue — early staples, mid-period turns like New Again and the self-titled album, then the more reflective arcs of Happiness Is and Tidal Wave — while recent tracks from 152 show a broader palette that still sounds like them.
