Heaven 17 return to the stage with Martyn Ware and Glenn Gregory revisiting their debut Penthouse and Pavement. On 15 October 2026 at Boiler Shop in Newcastle upon Tyne, the Sheffield duo focus on the album that set their sound in motion, moving between socially charged cuts and sleek dancefloor grooves. Released in September 1982, Penthouse and Pavement went Gold, reached No.14 on the UK Albums Chart and was later included in 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die. This tour puts those tracks front and center, delivered by the line-up that shaped them. Programmed rhythms, prominent basslines and Gregory’s baritone sit at the core, with Ware reworking the arrangements for the stage. As the album marks its 45th anniversary, the set traces the link between the band’s club sensibility and their pop writing, keeping the electronics and hooks that anchored their early years.
