Info
Saint Etienne bring their final UK tour to the Roundhouse, London on 18 September 2026. Formed in Croydon in 1990, Sarah Cracknell, Bob Stanley and Pete Wiggs built a bridge between club culture and British pop, from the house-leaning Foxbase Alpha and the narrative tilt of So Tough to the folk/electronic weave of Tiger Bay and the Berlin-shaped ambient currents of Sound of Water. Finisterre and Tales from Turnpike House tightened their London gaze, while later albums Words and Music, Home Counties, I’ve Been Trying to Tell You, The Night and International extended their palette through synths, samples and crisp rhythms, alongside collaborations with Étienne Daho, Richard X and Xenomania.
On stage, the trio move with the same balance: live electronics, keys and guitars underlining Cracknell’s poised delivery, sliding from early indie-dance pulse to reflective pop and softer ambient passages. This show draws across three decades of songs, tracing the band’s path from crate-dug references to melodic craft, with a filmic sense of place and everyday detail that runs through their catalogue.
