Australian outfit The Meltdown bring their Southern soul to Belgrave Music Hall, Leeds, on 14 November 2026. Formed around singer and keys player Simon Burke, the band taps into echoes of Stax and Motown with a Nashville sense for storytelling. On scène, ils enchaînent ballades lentes et grooves mid‑tempo, portés par une section rythmique solide, des cuivres feutrés et des mélodies qui s’installent sans forcer. Signed to Melbourne’s HopeStreet Recordings since 2015, they introduced their sound with the self‑titled debut in 2017, then widened the palette on It’s A Long Road (2022), where country‑soul shades and gospel undertones meet contemporary arrangements. Their live sets favour feel over flash, building from understated riffs to roomy horn swells, always leaving space for Burke’s unvarnished voice to carry the song. A concert rooted in classic R&B lineage, played with a calm intensity and a craftsman’s touch.
