The Undertones hit 50 and take it back to where it all began: fast, melodic songs built for the dancefloor and the front row. Formed in Derry in the mid‑70s, the band forged a tight mix of punk bite and pop instinct, riffing on teenage crushes, everyday dramas and deadpan humour. From the punch of their 1979 debut and Hypnotised to later returns with Paul McLoone, they’ve kept the format lean: guitars that snap, choruses that stick, no wasted seconds. At O2 Ritz Manchester on 24 October 2026, expect a set that spans those early singles through to the sharper-edged comeback material, played straight and to the point.
Special guests The Men They Couldn't Hang bring their trademark blend of folk grit and punk drive. Story-led songs, tough rhythms and big, unifying refrains: the kind that turn a room into a chorus.
