Info

On 18 September 2026 at Cambridge Corn Exchange in Cambridge, British singer and songwriter Freya Ridings brings a piano- and guitar-led set rooted in pop with shades of folk and soul. Writing largely at the keys, she favors clear arrangements that leave space for a low, direct voice and melodies that unfold with restraint. Starting with Blackout in 2017 and Lost Without You the same year, she has built a catalogue that moves between bare ballads and measured mid-tempo tracks. Her self-titled debut album (2019) gathered You Mean the World to Me and Castles; Blood Orange (2023) broadened the production while keeping an intimate core.

On stage, Ridings revisits material from both records and early live releases, shaping dynamics around piano, guitar and sparse electronics. After tours across the UK and support slots for Tears for Fears, Tash Sultana and Lewis Capaldi, plus a set at Glastonbury in 2019, she now brings a show that traces this path from quiet confession to steady crescendo, balancing close-up storytelling with choruses designed for a room to sing back.
