Fear Factory plays Limelight in Belfast on 6 October 2026. Formed in Los Angeles in 1989, the band carved a hybrid at the junction of industrial metal, groove and electronic textures: staccato, down-tuned guitars, machine-like rhythms and that sharp switch between abrasive growls and clear vocals. From Demanufacture to Obsolete, then Mechanize and Aggression Continuum, their discography tracks a dystopian, sci-fi bent that takes shape live with tight, mechanical precision. On stage, riffs lock to pneumatic drums, synth layers chill the edges, and the voice navigates from grit to clarity without loosening the grip.
Crystal Lake shares the bill with a Japanese metalcore take rooted in 90s hardcore. The Tokyo outfit blends slicing guitars, sudden tempo shifts and wide, melodic choruses, a mix that has led them alongside Parkway Drive, Hatebreed and The Ghost Inside, and to European headlining dates around Helix. Live, they thread breakdowns and atmospheric pauses with a keen sense of dynamics, jumping from cathartic shouts to hooky lines in a snap.
