Destroyer

Destroyer arrives in Milan as a solo act on 23 September 2026 at Circolo Arci Bellezza. Behind the name is Dan Bejar, a Canadian songwriter with a sharp, visionary pen, who for years has been crafting songs where art-pop brushes against folk, soft rock and synth pulses, always with particular attention to words and melodic detail. Solo, his repertoire is stripped down: the voice takes center stage, arrangements become essential, and the songs shift perspective, revealing structures and images often hidden in their studio versions.

The setlist draws from Destroyer’s catalogue, with possible reinterpretations of tracks from Kaputt, Poison Season, Have We Met or Labyrinthitis, but also unexpected detours and nods to less frequently played pieces. Bejar alternates spoken-singing and sung lines, plays with the rhythm of the text, allows silences to breathe, transforming each song into a story in itself, amid urban visions, elusive characters and cinematic flashes.
