Thomas Fersen

Thomas Fersen takes up residence at La Scala Provence, Avignon, on July 9, 2026, bringing his singular art of telling stories in song. A singer-songwriter with a playful turn of phrase, he has been offering since Le Bal des oiseaux a kind of pop-theatre where talkative animals, big children and offbeat characters cross paths. On stage he doesn't simply run through a setlist: he weaves narratives, bends words and brings his figures to life over acoustic refrains, ukulele or guitar in hand, in an impish, deliberately relaxed atmosphere. His repertoire is explored in a zigzag fashion, from vignettes of the past to more recent songs, moving between spoken confidences and refrains that slowly take hold.
