Amistat

On 8 November 2026 Amistat will play at the Alhambra in Geneva. Behind the name are twin brothers Josef and Jan Prasil, who blend acoustic folk moods with a subtle indie-pop touch. At the core are two closely matched voices, direct lyrics and spare arrangements that leave room for the guitars. Born in Germany, raised in Italy and rooted between the Czech Republic and Australia, they began their career in Australia before returning to Europe in 2019. Since 2012 they have released EPs and established themselves within the Australian and European folk scenes. Their songs revolve around movement, relationships and being on the road; live they have carried them across Europe, the UK and Australia — following a joint tour with Sons of the East, increasingly as headliners in their own right. In 2022 they played over 150 shows across ten countries. In Geneva Amistat will bring new material and familiar songs to the stage: rich harmonies, acoustic guitars and melodies that continue to chronicle their travels.
