Digitalism will play Botanique in Brussels on 7 November 2026. Nineteen years after shaping their first track in a World War II bunker in Hamburg, the duo has lost none of its fundamentals: a DIY spirit, spontaneous energy and a very low tolerance for boredom. Jens Moelle and Ismail Tüfekçi still hit the mark, at the crossroads of a direct club culture and an unapologetic melodic instinct.
From the first EP "Idealistic" (2005), where compressed synth riffs converse with Moelle’s voice, to "Idealism" two years later, which established their signature in electro‑house, and on to "Back To Haus" in 2023, which revisits their roots, their trajectory remains in motion. On stage their musical grammar blends dancefloor‑forged instrumentals and sung tracks: straightforward structures, punchy bass and synthetic layers that trace clean lines.
Their influences span Daft Punk to Ennio Morricone, Philippe Zdar to John Williams, and include The Cure. This palette feeds a barrier‑free fusion in which melodic textures and a hands‑on approach remain central. At Botanique, Digitalism condenses this material into a set that captures the zeitgeist, between electronic pulse and indie tension, never losing the thread.
