On 6 November 2026, underscores will take over the Botanique in Brussels. Behind that name is April Harper Grey, an American-Filipina artist from San Francisco who forged her identity by tinkering on GarageBand and releasing tracks on SoundCloud. After the EP skin purifying treatment in 2017, her debut album fishmonger (2021), written and recorded in her teenage bedroom during the pandemic, carried her from the DIY margins to opening slots for 100 Gecs. That was followed by boneyard aka fearmonger and then Wallsocket, a 12-track narrative about a fictional town in Michigan, deployed alongside an alternate-reality game (ARG) that opened new paths. Her method remains the same: unsettle listening, blend pop impulses with controlled chaos, then recompose the whole to let emotion rise to the surface.

Based in New York, umru joins the evening as a producer and DJ who came up through SoundCloud's online scenes and the PC Music ecosystem. Between hyperpop, bubblegum bass, experimental pop and club energy, he writes his own tracks as well as collaborations with Charli XCX, A. G. Cook, Dorian Electra and Rebecca Black. In his sets he lines up pop edits, hard dance, trance and bass music, processed vocals and sharp build-ups—designed for the dancefloor.
