Hangar invites Black Coffee

Info

Following a sold-out edition in 2025, Black Coffee returns to Brussels on 16 August 2026 at the Palais Royal de Bruxelles. A key figure in South Africa’s house scene, the DJ and producer has spent two decades shaping a deep, unhurried sound where local rhythms, slow tempos and soul-leaning textures guide the groove. From his early days with the trio Shana to launching Soulistic Music and releasing his self-titled debut in 2005, he’s honed a style built on repetition, space and a careful use of vocals, letting percussion and bass do the talking.

With Africa Rising in 2012 and Pieces of Me in 2015, his reach grew beyond South Africa, leading to regular tours and long runs across clubs and festivals, including Ibiza. Subconsciously in 2021, featuring guests like Drake, Usher and David Guetta, widened the palette without losing the Afro-house backbone.

In Brussels, expect a patient build and precise transitions, where each loop finds its place and the pulse stays warm and grounded. Black Coffee’s set leans on feel and momentum rather than peaks and drops, threading Durban’s cadence into a deep-house journey at the Palais Royal de Bruxelles.
