Talco

On 20 February 2027 Talco bring their Punkchanka sound to the Astra Kulturhaus in Berlin. The band from Marghera near Venice has been mixing punk rock with ska, Mediterranean folk and Latin influences since the 2000s — precise brass, driving riffs and fast offbeats form the backbone. Live this produces a powerful flow of energy and melody, with choruses on stage that condense into communal singing.

Lyrically Talco remain clear and direct. Their Italian texts tackle political and social issues: anti-fascism, precarious living conditions, questions of truth, self-worth and alienation. This stance runs through their albums up to Videogame, without losing its commitment to accessibility and momentum.
