Allie X brings her singular pop universe to The Academy in Dublin on 23 October 2026. Between Ontario and Los Angeles, Alexandra Ashley Hughes has built a project where introspective writing, conceptual imagery and electronic textures meet head-on. Spotted with Catch in 2014, she laid the groundwork with CollXtion I and II, refined the lens of alter egos and distance on Super Sunset in 2018, then pushed darker, more narrative shades on Cape God in 2020 before opening a fresh chapter with Girl With No Face in 2024. On stage, she treats each song like a scene: sculpted synths, crisp rhythms, stylised silhouettes and a voice that moves from cool restraint to exposed emotion. The set weaves early singles with newer cuts, playing with the tension between public persona and private self. As a songwriter for others, including Troye Sivan, she brings tight structures and clean hooks to her live arrangements, leaving space for dynamics without excess. At The Academy, expect bright pop lines shadowed by deeper textures, and a performance where sound and image stay locked to the same pulse.
