Info
On 20 May 2026 at Whelan’s, Dublin, Tide Lines bring a Glasgow-shaped sound rooted in the Scottish Highlands, where folk rock meets melodic pop and a subtle Celtic thread. Fronted by singer Robert Robertson with Alasdair Turner, Ross Wilson and Fergus Munro, the band writes in English with occasional Gaelic touches, drawing on images of coastal landscapes and small-town life from the north. Their debut Dreams We Never Lost (2017) set a template of electric guitars and keys woven with traditional influences; Eye of the Storm (2020) tightened the arrangements around clear vocal lines; An Ocean Full of Islands (2023) deepened themes of memory, travel and community. On stage, their set moves between brisk, guitar-led pieces and slower, atmospheric passages, with harmonies and synth textures carrying the choruses. The night traces their catalogue to date, keeping the focus on direct melodies, steady rhythms and stories anchored in place.
