Charlotte rapper Lute brings soul-laced, boom bap-rooted hip-hop to Dublin, with storytelling anchored in everyday life. Emerging with the mixtape West1996, he shaped a voice tied to his city and family. After joining J. Cole’s Dreamville, he appeared on Revenge of the Dreamers II and III, then released West1996 pt. 2 in 2017 and Gold Mouf in 2021. On 30 September 2026 at The Grand Social in Dublin, Lute revisits Gold Mouf and the West1996 cycle, along with collaborations from the Dreamville years. The set leans on detailed verses, relaxed grooves and a delivery that leaves space for the words to breathe. Between memories of Charlotte, reflections on family and low-slung soul samples, the show traces how he connects classic textures with a personal, grounded perspective.
