Gogol Bordello

On 17 August 2026 at Klub B90 in Gdańsk, Gogol Bordello bring their gypsy punk to the stage, led by Ukrainian singer‑guitarist Eugene Hütz. Formed in New York in the late 1990s, the band has forged a hybrid sound where punk energy intersects with Eastern European melodies, with violin and accordion to the fore. Their cosmopolitan lineup fuels multilingual lyrics in English, Ukrainian, Russian and Romani, and themes that address exile, migration and life in the diaspora.

In concert the troupe operates like a band in constant motion: staccato acoustic guitars, nervy drums, taut violin lines and accordion pulses that sweep the crowd into chanted choruses. The set draws as much from the early songs that defined their aesthetic as from subsequent albums — from Gypsy Punks: Underdog World Strike to Pura Vida Conspiracy, Seekers and Finders and Solidaritine. Between punk accelerations, Balkan detours and touches of ska or dub, the dynamic remains collective, festive and direct, carried by Hütz’s rolling voice and a persistent sense of percussive groove.
