Son Mieux

From The Hague, Son Mieux formed around singer and songwriter Camiel Meiresonne, first as an indie-pop project before growing into a wider collective from the local scene. Their sound leans toward orchestral and alternative pop, mixing guitars, strings, keyboards and a grounded rhythm section with communal harmonies. Songs often unfold in gradual builds and choruses carried by Meiresonne’s voice, with arrangements that balance warmth and precision.

After early EPs shaped by indie pop, the band opened up to a more dance-oriented palette fed by disco grooves, folk shades and contemporary pop. The albums Faire de Son Mieux (2019) and The Mustard Seed (2021) mark that shift, keeping melodic writing at the center while embracing a group-driven approach that defines their live momentum. On stage, Son Mieux performs as a multi-voice ensemble, focusing on rich arrangements, collective energy and a direct connection with the room.
