Info
On February 16, 2027, at Theater Akzent in Vienna, Lambchop brings its ever-shifting Nashville universe to the stage, guided by songwriter Kurt Wagner. Built like a collective more than a fixed band, Lambchop has always moved between formats and colors: the alt-country roots are there, but they sit right next to mellow soul, chamber-pop touches, brass lines, and keyboards that can turn a song’s mood on a dime. Expect that signature way of playing with tempo and restraint, where the voice stays understated and the arrangements do a lot of the storytelling.
Over the years, albums like Nixon, Is a Woman, Mr. M, FLOTUS, Showtunes, and The Bible have pushed the project from classic band dynamics toward leaner, sometimes more electronic shapes, without losing Wagner’s knack for melodic writing and everyday detail. This evening is a chance to hear how those different eras connect when everything lands in the same room, in real time.
