Magtens Korridorer

Magtens Korridorer bring their Copenhagen-bred guitar rock back onstage at AB&B - Amager Bio on 27 December 2026. Formed in the mid-90s, the Danish band has carved out a repertoire of direct, electric songs sung in Danish, led by Johan Olsen’s recognizable voice and a guitar line-up that favors punchy riffs and clear, singable hooks.

From the 1998 debut to Friværdi (2005) and Transmission (2007), the group fixed its style: alternative rock with a punk edge and pop immediacy, lyrics rooted in daily life, relationships and the frictions of urban Denmark. Imperiet falder (2011) and Før alting bliver nat (2014) pushed toward a darker, more introspective tone while keeping the songs lean and accessible. Større end os (2017) and Club Promise (2023) continued along that path, refining arrangements and leaving space for the live dynamic that has long shaped their writing.

On stage, the band stitches older staples to newer tracks without fuss, shifting from brisk, punk-tinged bursts to steadier mid-tempo swings. Danish or not, the choruses carry, and the guitars do the talking. A straight-ahead set in Copenhagen, at a venue made for it.
