Madsen - Ud med Knud Tour

Madsen brings its Ud med Knud tur to Pavillonen in Grenaa, Denmark, on 19 March 2027. Formed in the rural Wendland region of Lower Saxony in the early 2000s, the German indie rock band unites brothers Sebastian, Johannes and Sascha Madsen with bassist Niko Maurer. After early stints in punk and hardcore, they shifted to German-language lyrics and a leaner alternative rock sound, debuting with a self-titled album in 2005, then Goodbye Logik (2006) and Frieden im Krieg (2008). The formula is clear: driving guitars, melodic refrains, and a pulse that nods to their punk roots.

With Labyrinth (2010), Wo es beginnt (2012) and Kompass (2015), Madsen moved toward tighter pop structures while keeping a direct, guitar-led backbone. Lichtjahre (2018), Na gut dann nicht (2020) and Hollywood (2023) refine that balance, alternating brisk tracks and more introspective cuts. The lyrics stick to the everyday — relationships, provincial youth, small social frictions — in a plain, frontal language. On stage, the quartet shifts easily from club intensity to festival-sized singalongs, shaped by years of touring and stops at German fixtures like Rock am Ring, Hurricane and Southside.
