On May 23, 2026 at Nordstern in Basel, Chris Avantgarde brings a set that threads club efficiency with a strong sense of narrative. German-born and London-based, he works across production, composition and performance, moving between melodic techno, progressive house and cinematic electronica. A classically and jazz-trained multi-instrumentalist, he started with club tracks before expanding into scoring for film, trailers and video games, and writing and producing for pop artists.

That dual path shapes his sound: dancefloor structures meet developed harmonies, widescreen textures and pacing borrowed from music for picture. In the booth, he builds tension with crisp percussion and low-end drive, then opens the frame with emotive motifs and evolving sound design. His releases land on his own VNTGRD imprint and other electronic labels, and his sets travel easily between intimate clubs and festival stages.
