Eelke Kleijn

On 6 June 2026, Eelke Kleijn will take over Ritter Butzke in Berlin. The Rotterdam-born producer and DJ has moved since the mid-2000s between progressive house, deep house and melodic techno, with a penchant for expansive textures and narrative arcs. His early releases are rooted in the European progressive scene; the album trajectory with Naturally Artificial (2008) and Untold Stories (2012) already revealed an interest in atmosphere and structure, which was further refined on Moments of Clarity (2017) and Oscillations (2020). On the dancefloor Kleijn combines efficient grooves with detailed, often contemplative arrangements and a clear sense of progression. With DAYS like NIGHTS he founded a label that brings together a melodic, deep and flowing aesthetic. Between club tracks, remixes and more immersive pieces he places emphasis on dynamics, harmonic textures and clean, precise arrangements. Live, these elements turn into long buildups, solid basslines, spacious melodies and transitions that sustain the tension—a signature that will make its impact at Ritter Butzke.
