After six years focused on Moderat and a Grammy nomination, Sascha Ring rekindles his alias Apparat to present A Hum Of Maybe, his sixth album. Conceived as a traversal of zones of uncertainty, this new chapter turns doubt into raw material. On stage, Apparat sets finely wrought electronics—with glitch and techno accents—against more organic breaths, as if recently experienced fatherhood had opened fissures of warmth in an intentionally unstable climate. Textures rub against one another, overlap and slip away amid strings, pianos and processed voices, while the rhythms advance through micro-variations and controlled accidents. The live show promises a balancing act between tension and release, club and intimate space, abstraction and melody—without seeking a massive effect but with an almost tactile precision of sound.
