Info
Joe Yorke returns to La Maroquinerie, Paris, on December 18, 2026. A British singer steeped in soundsystem culture, he forges a distinctive path between reggae, soul and echoes of new wave. Having passed through Wigan and Manchester before settling in Bristol, he has refined a supple falsetto and a songwriting approach that blends rocksteady, dub and more contemporary textures. He is regularly heard with Stand High Patrol, appears on a single with L’Entourloop, and his cover of Bronski Beat’s “Smalltown Boy” resonated well beyond dub stages. With the album Hopeless (2023), his soul-tinged colors became more pronounced and consolidated a sound conceived as much for the studio as for the stage.
At La Maroquinerie he arrives with his crew and this mixture of rounded basslines, dub rhythms and harmonies that settle effortlessly. Between roots foundations, modern nods and recent tracks, the set navigates his collaborations with respected producers and his own material. Joe Yorke favors efficiency and space, letting the voice and the arrangements breathe for an evening focused on the music, in Paris.
