Steve 'N' Seagulls

On 3 December 2026 Steve 'N' Seagulls will perform at Metropool in Hengelo. The Finnish band that broke through in 2014 with an acoustic cover of “Thunderstruck” recasts hard rock and metal classics in a bluegrass, country and folk idiom. Banjo, mandolin, accordion, double bass, guitar and percussion take over the riffs, while the original songs’ drive and tension arcs remain intact. Tight vocal harmonies, playful breaks and a compact string‑band sound form the core.

Live, the group pairs these arrangements with original material from Farm Machine, Brothers in Farms, Grainsville and Another Miracle. The set moves from two‑step grooves to propulsive up‑tempo passages, giving familiar themes from the likes of AC/DC or Metallica a new hue without losing their pulse. Years of touring across Europe and North America are audible in the ensemble playing: direct, rhythmic and without frills.
