Release party - Mofak & Friends

Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 9:30 PM at Makeda in Marseille, a funk night with Mofak and his live band. This concert will mark the launch of his upcoming album.

- Mofak
Mofak is a producer, composer and performer shaped by the funk and hip-hop sounds of the American West Coast. Initially known as a dancer for his popping style, he has devoted himself to music for more than ten years, developing a universe driven by synthesizers and the legacy of G-funk.

Between Marseille and Los Angeles, which has become his second home, he collaborates with several local artists and performs on stages and at festivals around the world. With his warm groove and ’80s influences, Mofak offers funky music that invites you to surrender to the vibes.

- Sally Green
Sally Green is a singer from Oakland (Bay Area) who has become a figure in modern funk and G-funk. Her groovy, radiant voice has led her to collaborate with many international producers, and her tracks often accompany street dance competitions worldwide.

A trained pianist and also a saxophonist, she draws her influences from the funk and soul of the ’70s and ’80s. Sally Green has worked with artists such as Kurupt, Rakim, Mofak and Casual, and releases her music on labels like Bastard Jazz, Shogun and Star Creature.

- DJ Cali
DJ Cali has been immersed in music since childhood, raised in a family passionate about funk and hip-hop.

This musical background led her to deejaying, a craft she professionalized at Akademix DJ School alongside DJ Djel (Fonky Family).

She accompanies artists on stage such as Maze and provides warm-up sets—for example, for Sinik. She recently achieved a dream: opening for Mofak in Los Angeles, invited by the FunkFreaks collective, a key player in California’s funk culture.

Organizer of parties such as "Califorlina" and the "East Coast & West Coast Party", which celebrate West Coast, Latino and modern funk cultures, she brings together deejaying, live talkbox, popping, wepa style, lowbikes and lowriders.

She is also a resident on Radio Grenouille with her monthly show "Southside by Cali", which highlights the local scene and hip-hop and funk artists.

A specialist in G-funk culture, both old school and new school, Cali continues to promote it in Marseille.
