Los Angeles-based trio The Strike headlines Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto on July 5, 2026 (370 Queen Street West), with a special guest. Built around the voice of Chris Crabb, with Jay Tibbitts on drums and David Maemone on keys and guitar, the band started in the American Mountain West before planting roots in California. Their songs balance pop immediacy and rock drive, with synths pushed to the front, guitar accents that stick, and a rhythm section that keeps everything tight. The debut album Faint of Heart (2017) set the tone; in 2022 the group signed to Nettwerk Music Group and released The Lost Years, opening a new chapter alongside steady U.S. touring. On stage, The Strike keeps arrangements lean and melody-first.
