Wheatus

Wheatus bring their alt-rock and power-pop bite to Overflow Brewing Company in Ottawa on August 7, 2026. Formed in the mid-90s on Long Island and led by singer-guitarist Brendan B. Brown, the band blends melodic guitars, punchy hooks and a dry sense of storytelling. They broke through in 2000 with Teenage Dirtbag from their self-titled debut, followed by a distinctive take on Erasure’s A Little Respect. Since then, albums like Hand Over Your Loved Ones, Too Soon Monsoon and The Valentine LP have widened the palette, from crunchy riffs to more acoustic shades while keeping a sharp, melodic core.

On stage, Wheatus tour with a flexible lineup that shifts between full-band energy and more stripped-back arrangements. Their sets often move from early singles to deep cuts and newer material, with refreshed versions and tight vocal harmonies that keep familiar songs alive without museum glass. Expect crisp guitars, nimble rhythms and lyrics that nod to adolescence and pop culture, delivered with a direct, unfussy approach. Special guests to be announced.
