On 16 January 2027 at the Splendid in Lille, Michel Cymes took his first steps on stage with Secret(s) médical, a comedy that delves into the sensitive areas of the healthcare world. Four former medical school classmates meet for their usual dinner at their favorite restaurant. The evening shifts when the group’s psychiatrist reveals that one of his patients, a highly controversial politician, is running for the presidency. From that point on, friendships become strained, confidences spiral, and one question imposes itself on everyone: can professional secrecy be broken in the name of the public interest?
Written by Michel Cymes, Christophe Brun, Patrice Romedenne and Nicolas Lumbreras, the play sets up a confrontation in which each character adjusts their course of action between loyalty, responsibility and fear of the consequences. Philippe Lelièvre’s staging frames a debate grounded in human terms, where private convictions, professional duties and political pressures clash.
On stage, Michel Cymes shares the bill with Philippe Dusseau, Jean-Pierre Malignon, Clémence Thioly and Philippe Vieux, a quintet that brings this tense dinner to life through a succession of revelations and impossible choices.
