Ulrika Spacek

On 18 October 2026 at La Maroquinerie, Ulrika Spacek unfurls their experimental rock at the intersection of noise, psychedelia and krautrock. Led by songwriter Rhys Edwards, the London quintet layers guitars, stretches rhythmic patterns and pushes the vocals back in the mix, letting the pulse do the work. On stage, Compact Trauma (2023) expands into long developments, marked by dynamic ruptures and subtle electronic touches, while remaining firmly within the realm of guitar-driven rock.

Since The Album Paranoia (2016) and Modern English Decoration (2017), the band has honed an art-rock with shoegaze inflections, moving toward more fragmented songwriting on the EP Suggestion (2018). Live, this becomes a dense, hypnotic set: interlocking loops, builds constructed through repetition, and a metronomic groove inherited from krautrock. Ulrika Spacek explores tension without overstating the effect, sculpting a recognisable sound tailored to the acoustics of La Maroquinerie in Paris.
