Cassia

British trio Cassia will play on 16 November 2026 at Dynamo Werk 21 in Zurich. Formed in Macclesfield, the band has moved since the late 2010s between indie pop and pop rock, threaded with African- and tropical-inspired rhythms. Clean guitars, smooth percussive elements and a calm, slightly melancholic voice shape songs that move forward on light, danceable grooves while retaining an intimate tone. After early singles and EPs came Replica (2019) and Why You Lacking Energy? (2022), two albums with more structured songwriting and a production that adds detail without giving up the directness of their early days. Live, Cassia bundles these elements into a set where airy hooks, percussive patterns and road-themed motifs meet. New pieces sit alongside early tracks; the tempo shifts between buoyant and inward-looking, while guitar lines carve bright contours over shifting grooves. Travel and being on the road remain recurring motifs in the lyrics and mood.
