Archive arrives on 29 July 2026 at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès in Cannes. The London collective founded by Darius Keeler and Danny Griffiths has, since Londinium (1996), traced a distinctive line between electronic music, trip-hop, motorik rock and ballads of unabashed melancholy. On stage, the core — completed by Pollard Berrier and Dave Pen — brings this multi‑voiced alchemy to life, alternating slow builds, synthetic pulses and clean, straightforward guitars, with a taste for atmospheres that take their time.
The concert promises to be a journey through their defining periods, from Again and Bullets to the conceptual expanses of Controlling Crowds, while also paving the way for Glass Minds, their thirteenth album in which the band tightens its songwriting, embraces minimalism and leaves more room for textures. One can hear their early affinity for dance filtered through a constant melancholy that holds the project together. "Heads Are Gonna Roll," enhanced in the studio by a rap flow, testifies to this enduring curiosity. Live, Archive favors immersion: machines and drums mingle with vocal harmonies, producing tracks that stretch, breathe and ultimately draw the listener in.
