Info
Coroner returns to Paris on 25 September 2026 at La Machine du Moulin Rouge. Formed in Zurich in 1985, the trio forged a distinctive signature within thrash metal, driven by precise playing, rigorous songwriting and carefully worked rhythmic structures. Ron Broder (bass, vocals), Tommy Vetterli (guitar) and Marky Edelmann (drums) created, between 1987 and 1994, a compact discography where speed and technique meet classical and jazz influences, later evolving toward colder, more mechanical textures at the end of that period. The band built this trajectory at Noise Records before getting back into motion on stage during the 2010s.
This concert marks their return on record with Dissonance Theory, released on Century Media in 2025. Expect a taut set alternating new material and key pieces, where incisive riffs, shifting meters and clarity of playing fit together without excess. Thirty years after their last indoor performance in the capital, Coroner reasserts its compositional strength and collective precision, without unnecessary effects, with the blend of upfront thrash and progressive leanings that defines them. A dive into a sharpened, stage-ready repertoire.
