Planet Funk

Planet Funk bring their collective to La Nau, Barcelona, on 13 May 2026. Formed in Italy in 1999 around Alex Neri, Marco Baroni, Sergio Della Monica, Domenico GG Canu and Alex Uhlmann, the project moves between club culture, pop writing and rock energy. Their signature mixes supple electronic rhythms, solid basslines, guitar tension and refrains carried by rotating voices, including collaborators like Dan Black and Sally Doherty. The breakthrough single Chase the Sun set the tone, followed by the albums Non Zero Sumness (2002), The Illogical Consequence (2005) and The Great Shake (2011).

On stage, Planet Funk shape a format built for both the dancefloor and a live band setup, revisiting catalog tracks and newer material in a direct, streamlined way. Machines and instruments trade roles, melodies surface over grooves, and the set traces the edges of electro, alternative dance, synth-pop and electronic rock. A focused snapshot of 25 years of tracks designed for movement and songcraft.
