Chalk

On 15 April 2026 Chalk arrives at Santeria Toscana 31, a project born in Belfast from the duo of musicians and filmmakers Ross Cullen and Benedict Goddard. On stage they weave tense post-punk, saturated riffs and sharp electronic textures: rhythms that look to techno and drum’n’bass, insistent basslines, and vocals delivered halfway between spoken word and cold wave. The visual dimension is not an afterthought: edits, lighting and projections follow the same dark, cinematic aesthetic that runs through their tracks.

From their debut EP Conditions (2023) to their more recent singles, Chalk has built a compact set that alternates electronic build-ups and guitar hits, rhythmic breaks and hypnotic passages designed to make the room sweat. After a busy 2025 full of dates across the UK and Europe and appearances at festivals such as Glastonbury and Bilbao BBK Live, together with support from BBC 6 Music and a session for KEXP, the band returns to tour with a live show that pushes the physical side of sound: a steady four-on-the-floor kick, abrasive guitars and constant tension.
