On 27 May 2026 at Crossroad in Angoulins, Uli Jon Roth will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Virgin Killer, the Scorpions album he recorded in 1976. The band's lead guitarist from 1974 to 1978, he made his mark with an expressive style, taut melodic lines and an approach that helped pave the way for neoclassical rock. For this date the programme is clear: opening with Pictures Of Our Destiny, his current work, followed by a full performance of Virgin Killer — presented in its entirety on stage for the first time and announced as the final one. The show features what has defined Roth since his Fly to the Rainbow and In Trance years: precise riffs, clear harmonies, a strong taste for improvisation and a guitar that drives the narrative. The concert is conceived as a back-and-forth between a formative period of European hard rock and the present-day vision of a musician who continues to explore his repertoire without nostalgia.
