Info

On September 3, 2026, Ariel Rot arrives at the Palacio de los Córdova in Granada as part of 1001 Músicas - CaixaBank. A guitarist and songwriter born in Buenos Aires and based in Madrid since the late 1970s, he was part of the first wave of rock in Spanish with Tequila. Later, with Los Rodríguez alongside Andrés Calamaro, he shaped a repertoire that blended rock, pop and Rioplatense inflections. Since then, his solo career has maintained a clear identity: direct songs, guitar at the forefront, and an urban outlook that moves between light and restrained melancholy.

Live, Rot crosses rock and rhythm and blues with electric ballads and nods to tango and milonga. The pulse is in the guitar, in driving riffs, and in a voice that tells stories without ornamentation. From De Debajo del puente to Cenizas en el aire or La manada, his repertoire brings together decades of craft and collaborations that travel between Spain and Latin America.

In Granada, the concert is set to trace his various stages, leaving room for the songs that marked his bands as well as for recent pieces that continue to grow on stage. A natural meeting point between Madrid and Buenos Aires, with the guitar as the guiding thread.
