Smag På Dig Selv (SPDS) drives a lean trio setup — two saxophones and drums — into a dance‑oriented sound that keeps the pulse upfront. Active since 2018 and based in Denmark, the band blends acoustic techno impulses, punk energy and traces of 90s dance music. They think in loops and climbs, stacking repetitive structures and rhythmic rises that pull the body forward, then cutting the texture with chanted, half‑spoken vocals. The lyrics carry a poetic, openly political charge that grounds the physical edge of their music on stage. Their practice sits between a rock show, a live electronic set and a club performance, with long‑form formats tailored for the room rather than the radio.
