Digitalism, the Hamburg-based duo formed by Jens Moelle and Ismail Tüfekçi, has been blending club culture and an indie edge since the mid-2000s. Spotted through a series of maxi singles on Kitsuné, they established a clear grammar: driving basslines, compressed synths, forthright melodies and a back-and-forth between dancefloor instrumentals and vocal tracks. From Zdarlight and Idealistic to Circles, their trajectory slides from electronic rock toward a more atmospheric, melodic techno, without losing the DIY spirit and spontaneity that have carried them since their beginnings.

On 6 November 2026 at the Bataclan in Paris, Digitalism presents OPTIMISM, their announced new album, in a live format that marries electro house, indie dance and melodic textures. On the bill: a taut yet fluid set where classics and new material answer each other, with build-ups, sharp breaks and vocal hooks serving a direct, forward energy. The duo plays in the moment—cutting, restarting, letting synthesizers breathe and then hit—with that low tolerance for boredom that marks their style. A return to the stage calibrated both to rekindle the first Kitsuné thrills and to road-test OPTIMISM’s new tracks live.
