RONDÉ

RONDÉ comes to Metropool, Hengelo on 15 October 2026. The Utrecht-based band, formed at the Herman Brood Academie and fronted by singer Rikki Borgelt, works within an indie-pop sound that leans on synths, bright guitars and vocal lines that land immediately. Their songs aim for the light: melodies that breathe openly, choruses that give instant direction, and a rhythm section that keeps everything tight without overloading.

On stage, the focus is on harmonies, pulsing keys and a compact groove. Since their breakthrough with "Run," RONDÉ has developed a distinct signature: pop hooks with an electronic undercurrent, sitting somewhere between radio-friendly appeal and alternative texture. Their self-titled debut from 2017 established that framework; Flourish (2019) pushed the arrangements more toward the dancefloor while the atmosphere remained personal. With singles like "Naturally" and "Bright Eyes," the group refined that approach: forward-driving rhythms, synth layers that color the contours, and Rikki’s voice placed squarely at the center.

At Metropool, RONDÉ will show how those elements click live: a set that places their recent work seamlessly alongside the older material, with room for dynamics, harmonies and the direct energy of a band moving as one.
