Big Thief brings the Somersault Slide 360 Tour to Meridian Hall in Toronto on August 6, 2026. Formed in Brooklyn in 2015, the quartet of Adrianne Lenker (voice, guitar), Buck Meek (guitar), Max Oleartchik (bass) and James Krivchenia (drums) moves with ease between hushed folk and rougher indie rock. Across Masterpiece and Capacity through U.F.O.F. and Two Hands, the writing stays close to the bone: intimate melodies, spare electric arrangements, and shifts that go from a whisper to a scrape in a breath. With Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe in You, the palette opened further to rural folk tones, lo‑fi pop shades and off‑kilter grooves.

On stage, the band keeps things unvarnished and flexible. Lenker’s voice sits upfront, guitars trade clean lines and grainy edges, the rhythm section stays elastic and detailed. Songs stretch or tighten in real time, moving from fingerpicked sketches to taut, amplified passages without losing the thread.
